Today, Imagination Library of Waco is announcing a TEMPORARY pause of new enrollments into Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. Children currently enrolled WILL continue to receive books. Imagination Library has been wildly popular and successful in our community. We are very proud to have gifted more than 60,000 books over the past 4 years. Currently, we mail 2,100 children books every month. Unfortunately, this year, we have seen a dramatic 20% increase in costs due to USPS postage rates.
Our goal has always been to make this amazing program sustainable long into the future. With that in mind, the Imagination Library of Waco Board of Directors is strategically pausing new enrollments while we assess our strategy for growing the program. We expect to reopen enrollments later this year. We look forward to continue mailing books every month to the 2,100 children currently enrolled!
